Head of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs, FareShare
James is the Head of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs at FareShare. Since Jan 2018 he has helped to grow awareness of FareShare twelve fold, through innovations such as developing the Surplus with Purpose fund proposition to the food industry, which provides a financial contribution to a food business for redistributing food to charity via FareShare, rather than wasting it, and raising the issue of Holiday Hunger faced by children who receive free school meals in the UK which are not available during the holidays. James led the FareShare lobbying of the UK government which resulted in a £15m grant to support food redistribution. Prior to working at FareShare, James worked at the Carbon Trust for over 8 years, developing propositions such as the Green Business Fund and running their marketing and events program internationally. A long, long time ago he worked in advertising and marketing agencies for 11 years.
